Fire Pit and Paver Pathway

Building a dream backyard doesn’t always happen overnight; often, the most successful landscapes are curated over time through thoughtful planning. Installing another exterior remodeling phase for this wonderful homeowner in Fort Mill, SC demonstrates the wisdom of this approach. Located at the magnificent neighborhood of Waterside at the Catawba, where architectural standards are high and outdoor living is a way of life, this latest addition focuses on creating a destination and connection through a custom Fire Pit and Paver Pathway.

The design intent was to blend modern structural elements with timeless paving to create a cohesive look. For the focal point, the Techo-Bloc Mini-Creta Architectural Wall block was used for the Fire Pit. This material is a favorite among designers for its crisp, textured face and dimensional versatility. It creates a fire feature that feels substantial and permanent, acting as a sculptural anchor for evening gatherings. The Mini-Creta’s refined look perfectly complements the upscale aesthetic of the Waterside community, offering a sophisticated spot to roast marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine by the fire.

To connect this new gathering spot to the rest of the property, a durable and stylish walkway was essential. We selected Belgard Arctic Cambridge Cobble Pavers for the Pathway. The “Arctic” color palette introduces cool, clean tones of grey and white, which provide a stunning contrast to the lush green of the lawn and the earthy tones of the mulch. The “Cambridge Cobble” style offers a classic, European feel with its gently rounded corners and textured surface. This pathway does more than just guide foot traffic; it invites a journey through the landscape, ensuring that the new fire pit is accessible and inviting year-round.

By selecting these premium materials from industry leaders like Techo-Bloc and Belgard, we ensure that this phase of the project not only looks beautiful today but will withstand the elements for decades. This seamless integration of hardscape elements is key to Making Homes More Beautiful®, turning a standard backyard into a cohesive, multi-functional retreat.
