Custom Paver Patio in Belmont
The Challenge
This Belmont homeowner needed an outdoor space that solved a specific problem — drainage, sloped grading, an underused yard, or a transition between indoor and outdoor living — without compromising the look of the home. Our team scoped the site, identified the constraints, and proposed a design built around the way the family actually uses the space.
The Design & Material Selection
For this project we specified Belgard pavers, chosen for durability in Charlotte's freeze-thaw cycles and for the way the color and texture sit against the home's existing architecture. The layout was drawn to match the home's sight lines, the lawn's natural grade, and the way the family moves between the house, patio, and yard.
The Final Result
Belgard Origins 12 Paver Patio – Outdoor Living Tip of the Day
A new style of paver has been introduced to the Carolinas… it’s a Belgard Origins 12 Paver Patio. This rustic, yet modern Origins 12 Paver Patio is all in the color of Summit. Installed in Belmont, North Carolina, this is the Outdoor Living project work order:
-Tear out the concrete slab complete with hauling away the debris
-Install one pipe out of approximately 20 linear feet of pipe out (buried black 4” corrugated pipe) complete with one oversized downspout adapter
-Install a Belgard Origins 12 Summit Paver Patio set in a 3-piece pattern of approximately 400 sq. ft. with an ABC base tamped approx. 4” deep, screenings, Snapedge, nails, and gray Polymeric sand in the joints Define the landscaping beds with a hand dug bed edge and haul away all the sod as needed -Install eight Schipka Cherry Laurel (approx. 36” tall and 6g) complete with topsoil
-Install the following complete with topsoil
Three Fire-Power Nandina (3g)
One Jazz Hands Loropetalum (3g)
Two Sunshine Ligustrum (3g)
-Tear out the pine needles in the front and back landscaping beds (repurpose on the backyard slope) and install six yards of double hammered hardwood mulch
